Deepika Padukone made the world go wow with her stellar appearances at the Met Gala 2019 and the Cannes Film Festival 2019. The diva not only turned heads at the event but also inspired members of the LGBTQ community.

At the Pride Parade, which was recently held in Vadodara, members of the LGBTQ community recreated DeePee’s look from the Met Gala and Cannes 2019. Deepika had worn a lime green Giambatista Valli gown for her Cannes outing. She had channeled her inner Barbie at the Met Gala in her pink Zac Posen gown.

When Ms. Padukone was asked to give her reaction on the LGBTQ community recreating her looks, she said, “It was heartening to see them wear their vision of my Cannes and MET Gala outfits for the pride parade march in Vadodara. I came across some pictures of them and they looked absolutely stunning.”

On work front, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The movie also stars Vikrant Massey and will release on January 10, 2020. She is presently shooting for Kabir Khan’s ’83, which also stars Ranveer Singh.
