Fans of the iconic comedy franchise Hera Pheri will have to wait a little longer for its third installment. Actor Paresh Rawal, who plays the much-loved character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, has confirmed that the shooting for Hera Pheri 3 will not begin this year.

In a recent interaction with News18, Rawal shared, “It’s a work in progress. We’ll start shooting for Hera Pheri 3 in February-March next year. A lot has happened but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan. Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai.”

His statement puts an end to speculations about whether the film would roll out in late 2025. Fans were hoping to see Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal reunite this year itself, but the project has faced multiple delays.

Rawal also addressed the bond he shares with director Priyadarshan, clarifying that despite the ups and downs over the years, their personal and professional relationship remains intact.

The Hera Pheri franchise has earned a cult following since the release of the first film in 2000, followed by Phir Hera Pheri in 2006. Both movies remain favorites for their humor, memorable dialogues, and timeless characters.

With the third part now confirmed for early 2026, the wait may be longer, but expectations are higher than ever. Fans are eagerly looking forward to the reunion of the trio and the chaos that Baburao, Raju, and Shyam will bring back on screen. The film may attempt a grand release in 2026 ending or first half of 2027.
