Kangana Ranaut who is currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Panga, the actress while promoting at an event, was quizzed to comment on Saif Ali Khan's recent statement of "No Concept Of India Before British", that he made on a chat show while promoting his film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Kangana commenting about Saif's statement said,
"If there was no Bharat then what was Mahabharat? Some people have just created these narratives that suit them. Sri Krishna was in Mahabharat. So there was a Bharat, that’s why it was mahaan (great). All the kings of India came together to fight that war. You see even Europe has these small nations. But these had a collective identity, that’s why Sri Krishna went to all these places with Pandavas and the Kauravas, to ask them who will be a part of the war."
The actress also took a dig at Deepika Padukone, for standing in solidarity with the students of JNU. Even though Kangana mentioned that Deepika had a democratic right to stand with the students, but she also mentioned that she
would never "stand with the Tukde gang".
Kangana's sister Rangoli sharing the video of her sister's comment on Saif's statement wrote, "Kangana asking Saif Ali Khan a very important question ... over to you Saif ... "

Saif while talking about the current social climate in the country and the polarising politics of his latest film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior said,
"For some reason I didn't take a stand. Maybe next time I would. I was very excited to play the role because it's a delicious role. But when people say this is history, I don't think this is history. I am quite aware of what the history was. I don't think there was a concept of India till perhaps the British gave it one. I don't think there is really any constructive point in arguing about loudly, provided you yourself know why you're doing it."
Saif Ali Khan's this comment was massively criticized by netizens on social media, as the actor received a lot of flaks for his this comment on the Internet.
Meanwhile, Kangana will next be seen in Panga the film, the actress will be seen in the role of Jaya, a mother who is also a Kabbadi player. Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, this film also stars Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta and Jassie Gill in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on January 24, 2020.
