At the Deltin Star Weekend – Diamond Edition event, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh opened up about who he thinks could portray him in a potential biopic. Without hesitation, he named two of Bollywood’s most respected actors: Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal.

"Ranveer Singh’s energy and Vicky Kaushal’s intensity – they both could do justice to my story," Harbhajan said. His reasoning makes sense, considering the high-octane performances he delivered on the cricket field. While Ranveer could match his passion and flamboyance, Vicky might bring depth and seriousness to the role.

The idea of Harbhajan’s life being translated onto the big screen, with either of these stars in the lead, sounds exciting. The spinner’s journey from a small-town boy to becoming one of India’s top bowlers is filled with drama, challenges, and emotional highs — a perfect mix for a sports biopic. We have previously seen biopics of cricketers like MS Dhoni, a docudrama on Sachin Tendulkar, and a sports drama based on the Indian team's historic 1983 World Cup victory. When asked about someone who supported him before fame found him, Harbhajan gave full credit to former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. "Sourav Ganguly believed in me before the world did" he shared. That belief, he said, was a turning point in his career and played a key role in shaping his path. Not many of you know, but talks on Sourav Ganguly's biopic are underway.
