Happy Patel-Rahu Ketu Weekend Box Office:

Two new releases, Happy Patel and Rahu Ketu, have failed to impress at the box office, delivering poor opening weekend numbers and disappointing trade expectations.

Happy Patel, starring Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Shalini Pandey, had a very weak start and showed minimal growth over the weekend. The film collected approximately ₹1.10 crore on Friday, followed by ₹1.35 crore on Saturday and ₹1.35 crore on Sunday. Its total opening weekend collection stands at around ₹3.80 crore nett. Despite being a weekend release, the film could not gain momentum, and trade reports suggest it is heading towards a single-digit lifetime collection. With such low numbers, Happy Patel is being termed a huge flop at the box office.

On the other hand, Rahu Ketu performed slightly better but still remained below expectations. The film opened with ₹90 lakhs on Friday, showed some improvement on Saturday with ₹1.50 crore, and collected ₹1.60 crore on Sunday. This brings its opening weekend total to approximately ₹4 crore nett. While Rahu Ketu managed to show growth over the weekend, the overall numbers are still considered underwhelming. It's a flop.

Both films struggled to attract audiences, possibly due to weak promotions, limited buzz, and mixed word of mouth. With strong competition from other releases, especially  Dhurandhar, and ongoing audience fatigue, sustaining collections during the weekdays will be a major challenge.

As things stand, neither Happy Patel nor Rahu Ketu has managed to make a strong impact at the box office, highlighting once again how crucial content and audience connection are for theatrical success. The January hasn't been good for the industry yet, so all hopes are on Border 2 now.
