GROUNDBREAKING: Kesari Chapter 2’s Teaser Strategy Leaves Fans Intrigued; What’s Behind the First 30 Seconds of Audio?
The first teaser for Kesari Chapter 2 is out now, and it has achieved groundbreaking results, with the first 30 seconds being innovative and leaving fans intrigued (Movie Talkies).
As we can see, the daring teaser breaks all traditional norms for teaser releases, featuring an unprecedented 30-second opening with no visuals, logo, or title, solely relying on an audio-only format to immerse audiences in the chaos and horror of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
This is not just an absence of visuals; it’s sensory storytelling at its most powerful, and we can feel it. Gunshots, screams, and rising tension create such an intense atmosphere that it grips viewers before they even see a single frame. This is a new form of storytelling—bold, intense, and effective.
In the film, Akshay Kumar stars as Sir C. Sankaran Nair, the fearless lawyer who dared to take on the British Empire in the wake of a national tragedy. Adding gravitas to the teaser, we have a voiceover that lands like a punch: “Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire.” Akshay, as Nair, replies, "F--- You." Now that’s clap-worthy!
Adapted from the book The Case That Shook The Empire, written by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat, Kesari Chapter 2, with its bold approach, sets a new benchmark for Indian cinema. This is just a teaser; the whole film awaits you in theatres on 18th April 2025.
Kesari Chapter 2 is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari. The film is co-produced by Marijke de Souza, Somen Mishra, and Vedant Baali, and is written by Karan Singh Tyagi and Amritpal Singh Bindra.
