'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' Is Punit Malhotra's Love Story, Reveals Karan Johar

The trailer of upcoming Dharma Productions' flick Gori Tere Pyaar Mein was unveiled recently and at the event, producer Karan Johar revealed that the story of the film has been inspired by an incident from director Punit Malhotra's life.

Johar claimed that just like Imran Khan does in the film, Malhotra had crossed a few parts of the country to reach the heartland to woo a woman, but did not succeed. Johar added that though Punit never shared the details of his love story, they knew that there was such a woman, who Punit had loved and lost.

Gori Tere Pyaar Mein also stars Kareena Kapoor and the film is a love story between an urbane happy-go-lucky youth and a NGO volunteer. The film is slated to release on November 22.
