Monsterverse fans, get ready for the next Godzilla x Kong film! The next installment in the Monsterverse franchise has officially been announced. Titled Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, the film is set to hit theaters on March 26, 2027. This sequel will continue the story following the events of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024).

The previous film saw Godzilla and Kong join forces to battle a new threat in the Hollow Earth. It ended with hints that their journey was far from over. With Supernova, fans can expect the return of the iconic titans, though no plot details have been confirmed yet. It will mark the sixth film in the Monsterverse franchise, also serving as the 39th film of the Godzilla franchise and the 14th in the King Kong franchise.

The title Supernova suggests the possibility of a larger, perhaps more powerful threat, possibly beyond Earth. While the filmmakers have kept the story under wraps, speculation is already building about new monsters or worlds being introduced.

The film will be helmed by Grant Sputore, while David Callaham and Michael Lloyd Green write the screenplay and story. The cast includes names like Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens, Jack O'Connell, Matthew Modine, Delroy Lindo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill.
