Global Idol A.R Rahman To Judge Indian Idol?

Academy Award and Grammy Award-winning music maestro A.R Rahman may soon make a transition to the small screen. Buzz is that he may be the fourth judge in the popular music reality show Indian Idol in its sixth season.

A source from the channel was quoted saying, "This year, we want to take the show to a higher level. So, we thought of roping in four, instead of three judges, the first name that came to our mind was Rahman. He is a global music icon. He has been approached for the show. Should he agree, it will just take the show to a new level! We are waiting for his reply. And though he has many projects like Kochadaiyaan and Kadal and his other album post Vande Mataram, still a TV show is a big way to connect to his audience and share his passion for young talent in the field of music."

If and when Rahman does come on board, it is surely going to take Indian Idol to another level altogether!
