Anurag Kashyap directed gangland saga Gangs Of Wasseypur might be this year's most anticipated movie, but writer Syed Zeeshan Qadri is probably sweating bullets as the release date approaches.
It seems that the writer, who has spent his entire life in the actual town of Wasseypur near Dhanbad in Jharkhand, has been receiving death threats from members of the coal mining mafia for revealing too much about them in the movie. Confirming the news, a source was quoted saying, "Though Kashyap maintains that his film is a work of fiction, there are many characters in the film who are based on real life members of the coal mining mafia and their gangs have started calling up Qadri, threatening him with death for revealing details about their families and way of operations. In fact, Anurag has now asked Qadri to lie low for some time as the latter is very scared for his life."
Starring Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and other actors, Gangs Of Wasseypur revolves around the rivalry between two families in the coal mining mafia underworld.
