The battlefield for the box office clash between Gadar 2 and OMG 2 comes to the ground today. Sunny Deol's mass hysteria Gadar has become the first choice of the public as the film has taken a bumper opening all over the nation, while OMG 2 is lying 5X behind with a limited release.
Gadar 2 opened to phenomenal occupancy in the morning shows, and the mass centres are in riot mode. The Gadar sequel has taken the third biggest opening after KGF 2 and Pathaan in post-pandemic times, and that too in a clash. Gadar 2 is rather challenging compared to Pathaan and KGF 2 at mass belts, despite having fewer screens. As a whole, it's a bumper opening, and we are expecting nothing less than 40 crore from here.On the other side, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 is off to a decent start but is no match for Gadar 2 hysteria. Yet, the film has managed to do better than some of Akshay Kumar's last releases since OMG was a superhit and people expect a quality film again. OMG 2 is looking to settle around 8–9 crore nett on the opening day and might even catch a double-digit figure if the night shows see better response.
