Finally! Chunky Pandey Reveals The Secret Behind His Quirky Name

Actor Chunky Pandey, who was last seen playing the menacing baddie Kabir in Begum Jaan, is actually named Suyash Pandey and the actor finally revealed the secret behind his quirky name.

In a candid interview to Movie Talkies, Chunky said, "My actual name is Suyash but ever since I was a kid, this woman who used to work at our house, used to call me Chunky and the name stuck to such an extent that even my parents and relatives started calling me the same. However, the name on my school records was Suyash as I was pretty embarrassed about my nickname."

Pandey added with a smile, "When I was about to be launched as an actor by Pahlaj Nihalani, I had an option of being credited as Chunky or Suyash and when I asked my kids to choose an option, they claimed that Chunky was a much cooler name and the rest, as they say, is history."

Chunky made his debut as an actor with Aag Hi Aag, which also starred Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha and Vinod Mehra.
