Fighter Takes Off On A Low Gear In Advance Sales

Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, is set to be released this Friday. The film is running very slowly in advance sales and has done lower than what trade expected from it.

Fighter sold over 65,000 tickets in national chains (PIC - PVRInox and Cinepolis) by Tuesday noon. This is less than half of what Pathaan had done by this time. Pathaan had the same release date last year and, coincidentally, the same director and actress.

The advance for Fighter for opening day stands at 3–3.25 crore nett approx. at present, and the film should target 7-8 crore nett by Wednesday night, before the first show begins in the early morning. Siddharth Anand's directorial will be looking at the 2 lac ticket sales, and that is indeed a below-average total for a film of this scale.
