Filmmaker Farah Khan has officially dismissed rumours about Main Hoon Na 2. A few days ago, a report by a media portal suggested that a sequel to the 2004 Hit was in development, with Shah Rukh Khan expected to return. However, Farah has now clarified that these claims are not true.

Speaking to TOI, Farah Khan stated that the reports about Main Hoon Na 2 are “rumours” and urged fans not to believe them. Her statement puts an end to the recent speculation that had excited many Shah Rukh Khan fans on social media.

Earlier, a report by Pinkvilla claimed that the sequel was in the works and that the original cast might return. The film was said to revolve around patriotism and blend action with comedy, much like the first installment. The 2004 film, Main Hoon Na, directed by Farah Khan and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty, Amrita Rao, and Zayed Khan, was a major box office success and remains popular among fans.

With Farah Khan’s clarification, it is now clear that no sequel is currently being planned. Some fans will be disappointed for sure, while some might be happy as they want SRK to go for some original films in this phase.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with his upcoming projects. After wrapping up King, reports suggest that the superstar may explore an action-comedy-drama next. However, sources indicate that the project is still in a very early stage of development, and no official announcement has been made yet.
