'Family Unaware Of 'Veer', Says Zarine Khan

Her hefty frame has been giving frightful nightmares to Salman Khan. After viewing the rushes of 'Veer', SK wanted some scenes of the oversized Zarine Khan to be hacked off at the editing table. Un fortunately, producer Vijay Galani and director Anil Sharma refused to kowtow to the superstar's demands.

Ironically, Zarine Khan was reed thin, a Katrina Kaif look alike, who had little in life to boast about. "I had done a bit of modeling, a few sari campaigns, " she discloses. " I was a struggling actress when I got a call from Mukta Arts asking me to come down for the shooting of 'Yuvraaj'. That's when I met Salman Khan for the first time. I'm a huge fan of his and asked him for an autograph. That's when he turned around and told me, 'Sweetheart, now you'll be the one signing autographs.' Then he broke the good news that I had been finalised for 'Veer'. But I was told to keep this a complete secret. Believe me, neither my family nor my close friends knew I'd been signed on for Anil Sharma's film."
