publive-imageSooraj Barjatya and Anupam Kher are coming back together with the upcoming flick by Rajshri Films, Uunchai. The actor-director duo has delivered many hit movies in the past and is looking to hit the same mark again on 11th November 2022. Before that, Movie Talkies had an exclusive interaction with the leading actor to get some exclusive info.publive-imageUunchai is led by senior actors; does that mean it has nothing for the youngsters? Anupam Kher shared, "The film might have three senior actors in the lead, but the theme is very young. It's about finding inner heights (Uunchai) for any person. And then there is Sooraj Barjatya's stamp all over. The premise is different—the mountain—but the essence is friendship, goodness, hope, and finding yourself. There is a thrilling factor to whether these friends will reach Everest or not because the characters are ordinary people, not superheroes."publive-imageThe title of Uunchai has multiple meanings. Here's what Mr. Kher has to say about it. "Uunchai's title reflects so many dimensions. It's about finding your maximum, finding your horizons, finding your capabilities; it's about keeping your standards high; it's about sacrifices you will make for the relationship. When Boman and I saw the mountain for the first time, we got so emotional. It was a life changing experience for us."publive-image

The bond between Anupam Kher and Sooraj Barhatya has grown over the years. Talking about the kind of films Rajshri and Sooraj make, Anupam Kher revealed, "Rajshri has spread goodness through their films for years. All films by Rajashri celebrate our tradition, culture, and family values. You don't need to check the U or UA certificate for the Rajshri movie, because you know it's going to be a family movie full of goodness".publive-image"Nowadays family dramas are different. They make films about dysfunctional families. Some frustrated person or some mental issue, but Barjatya films are not like that. Uunchai is told in that way, as a modern film, but it's a traditional family film. I would love to be part of his modern films. Cinema should tell the stories that deserve to be told, but it should also spread the message of goodness," he added when asked about modern family dramas.publive-imageAnupam Kher has given us two superhit films this year with The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2. Will Uunchai make a Hat-trick? The actor replied, "I have given two hit films this year (The Kashmir Files and Karthikeya 2), which have made about 450 crores. If Uunchai adds another 200-300 crores, then I will have a total of approx. 750 crores."publive-image"Maybe next year, my films won't do that well, but that doesn't mean I'll become less happening. As an actor, I don't take any box office pressure. But at this stage of my career, I am going to leave a number because nowdays people talk about numbers. I have been part of the biggest hits from the 90s decade, like 'Huk Apke Hain Kaun!' (1994), 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (1995), and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' (1999)," he signed off.
