Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam's OMG 2 is set to hit cinemas this Friday. The sequel to the 2012 superhit "OMG" was long overdue and is finally here to treat us, but this time there is a taboo subject attached to it. Will this affect the brand of OMG and its audience? Let's see what Yami has to say about it.
Yami Gautam shared, "I started my career with a film like Vicky Donor, which seemed like a taboo film but turned out to be a family entertainer and a cult film over the years. I, as an actress, have never shied away from taking up challenging films and roles."
"The female representation in this film was very important. I had this chat with Akshay sir also that this is very important and the OMG audience should not feel embarrassed or shy away from it. There are a few instances in the film where you feel like I am the only female in the court surrounded by men. Amit had very thoughtful writing, and I am happy that I decided to go ahead with this Film," she concluded.
