It's a crooked issue. And a crook is being a brunt of it. Er,'Crook', rather, ha ha ha. Word has it, that Emraan Hashmi and uncle Mahesh Bhatt are in a tussle over a reported love making sequence featuring Hashmi and a foreign actress Shella Allen, who enacts an integral role in the flick.

Reportedly, Hashmi, in keeping with his new found success in 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' isn't too keen on the bussing bit, skin show and love making sequences any longer.

States a close source, "When Emraan shot for the love making scene with Shella, he was quite okay with it. But matters are now different after the release of 'OUATIM'. Emraan is keen to get rid of his serial kisser image and doesn't want to do lovemaking scenes either. In fact, Ekta Kapoor wanted him to kiss the Madakini look alike in 'OUATIM,' but he politely refused."

Admits Hashmi in a tabloid quote, "Yes, there is a bit of a conflict with Bhatt saab as regards 'Crook' because I wanted the skin show content (sic) to be cut down. 'Crook' is not a skin flick and it touches on the more serious issue of racial discrimination against Indians in Australia. I don't want 'Crook' to be regarded as another 'Jism' or 'Murder.'"

In his inimitable style, Mahesh Bhatt refused to kowtow to his nephews demands and told an eager media, "Emraan's quest for respectability is completely disconnected from the box office. Today, the audience wants to be gratified and not edified. 'Crook' has the added component of sensuality and I see no reason to water it down."
