Almost a week back, we reported that Goldmines had announced the Hindi dubbed premier of the Telugu flick, Drushyam 2, ahead of the Hindi remake of Drishyam 2's theatrical release. A couple of days later, the makers of Hindi Drishyam 2 approached Manish Shah of Goldmines to abandon the plan as it would hurt the business of their film, and Mr. Shah agreed.
Goldmines deleted the promos of Drushyam 2's Hindi Dubbed Premier from their YouTube channel as well as their Twitter handle. Now, here's the story behind this quick decision. According to Etimes, the makers of Hindi Drishyam 2 paid Rs. 3.50 crore to Manish Shah to cancel the premiere of Drushyam 2.
Manish Shah told Etimes, "Isme galat kya hai? (What's wrong in that?) I bought the Hindi dubbing rights from the #Venkatesh starrer makers on the day of mahurat itself."
