Akira Toriyama demise: Japanese manga artist and character designer, Akira Toriyama, passed away at the age of 68. He was the creator of the popular media franchise "Dragon Ball." He died of an acute subdural hematoma, as per the statement given by Bird Studio.
"We are deeply saddened to inform you that manga creator Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to an acute subdural hematoma. It's our deep regret that he still had several works in the middle of creation with great enthusiasm," said the statement by Bird Studio.
"He would have many more things to achieve. However, he has left many manga titles and works of art in this world. We hope that Akira Toriyama's unique world of creation continues to be loved by everyone for a long time to come," it added.
Akira Toriyama is regarded as one of the authors who changed the history of manga, as his works are highly influential and popular, particularly Dragon Ball, which many manga artists cite as a source of inspiration.
