Akshay Kumar is the only superstar of his generation to deliver three or more hit movies in a single calendar year multiple times. Just before lockdown, he had delivered five consecutive hits. The table has been turned upside down as he has had five flops in a row. The superstar took the blame on himself and accepted that it's his fault if his movies are not working at the box office.

Akshay Kumar said, "It is a great alarm if your films are not working; it is your fault. When your films flop in a row, it is an alarm for you that it is time for you to change. I am trying to change; that is all I can do."

He further added, "The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna. The audience has changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself. You have to start again because the audience requires you to see something else."

Akshay took the blame on himself, quoting, "Do not blame the audience or anyone else. It is my fault, 100%. Aapki film na chalna is not because of audience. It is because of what you selected. Maybe you have not given the right ingredients in the film."
