Since Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, there hasn't been an Avengers film with a big cast of Avengers. As we know, it takes time to build a superhero universe, and MCU Phase 4 and Phase 5 have already uploaded enough data to look forward. Disney's CEO, Bob Iger, has also confirmed a new set of Avengers in the future.
Without spoiling any character names, Iger shared, "We just have to look at what characters and stories mining. If you look at the trajectory of Marvel in the next five years, there will be a lot of newness. We're going to turn back to the Avengers franchise with a whole new set of Avengers, for example."
Adding more, Bob Iger said, "How often we go back to the well with certain characters. Sequels typically work well for us. Do you need a third or fourth, for instance? Or is it time to turn to other characters? Marvel will turn back to the Avengers franchise, but with a whole different set of Avengers."
MCU recently started Phase 5 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The upcoming films from Phase 5 are Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, and Blade. Then we will move forward with Phase 6, which has Deadpool 3, Fantastic Four, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars.
