Legal Notice Sent to Sunny Deol and Imtiaz Ali for Working with Diljit Dosanjh; Border 2 in Trouble?

The team behind the recently announced Border 2 is facing fresh controversy. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has sent a letter to the film's production team, T-Series Films, raising concerns over the project's development due to the involvement of Diljit Dosanjh. The Punjabi singer and actor is facing backlash for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his movie Sardaar Ji 3.

"This casting decision is in blatant violation of FWICE's official directive to boycott Mr. Diljit Dosanjh, which was issued after his unpatriotic act of working with a Pakistani actress, Ms. Hania Aamir, in the film Sardaar Ji 3. By choosing to collaborate with an artist who has so brazenly ignored the ongoing tensions and national sentiment, your production has directly undermined the stand taken by the Indian film industry in solidarity with the nation," they said in the letter.

Diljit Dosanjh SLAMMED For Working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, Sardaar Ji 3 Release Banned in India –

"Such actions are a disservice to the sacrifices made by our armed forces and citizens who continue to face the consequences of cross-border hostilities and terrorism. It is all the more disturbing that a film like Border 2, which is supposed to honor the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers, has engaged an individual who has recently chosen to prioritize personal gain over national respect by associating with talent from a hostile nation," the letter further reads.

Simultaneously, veteran actor Sunny Deol and director Imtiaz Ali have received legal notices pertaining to a separate upcoming film, which will come after Border 2, said a report from Bollywood Hungama. Dosanjh's collaboration with Hania Aamir is definitely against the national sentiment after what happened in Pahalgam and the political and social turmoil that followed.
