After Ranbir Kapoor earned accolades for his portrayal of a deaf-mute man in Anurag Basu's Barfi!, it seems South star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with Raanjhanaa, is gearing up to do the same.
If sources are to be believed, Dhanush, who will be next seen sharing screen space with none other than Amitabh Bachchan in R.Balki's Shamitabh, will essay the role of a deaf-mute junior artiste. What's more, Amitabh's character will be seen giving a voice-over for Dhanush's character.
The film, which went on the floors in February, has been shot in locations like Mumbai and Goa and will mark the acting debut of Akshara Haasan, the daughter of legendary star Kamal Haasan.
