The election season is on and there is a flurry of films carrying an undertone of politics to it. However Dekh Tamasha Dekh is different as it its core concept itself lies in the world of politics. Moreover, with a real life incident inspiring Feroz Abbas Khan to tell this story, the film carries all the more weight to it.

"That's right, I was narrated a particular incident many years ago and somehow that kept bothering me inside all this while. I felt that this there is something very important and interesting in this incident and it is not just restricted to a particular person or region but actually told the story of our country in itself," says Feroz whose debut feature film Gandhi My Father was based on true life incidents as well.

He has made sure though that the film doesn't turn overtly serious and get burdened by an overbearing subject.

"It was best to make Dekh Tamasha Dekh into a satire because that kind of story telling format engages the audience really well," he says, "So I asked my writer to take this real life incident as the starting point and explore various possibilities of bringing in countless absurdities that are the way of life. You would be exposed to some truly shocking, yet amusing incidents in the film."

We look forward to that once Dekh Tamasha Dekh, which is produced by Sunil Lulla and Feroz Abbas Khan, with Satish Kaushik in a principle role releases all over this Friday.
