After Deepika Padukone now Anushka Sharma took up the 'Safe Hands' challenge to spread precautionary awareness about the Coronavirus outbreak. Sharing a video, the actress spread the important message of how to prevent the spread of the pandemic, by demonstrating the appropriate method to wash one's hands, as recommended by WHO ( World Health Organization ). Where the actress can also be seen advising people to wash their palms with extra care and not waste water while washing their hands.
Safe Hands' challenge is a new global campaign by WHO, where the body has asked to share a video of how to wash your hands neatly to safeguard yourself from the virus. Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has asked several high-profile celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, to share videos of themselves washing their hands as a protective measure against COVID-19, the disease caused by a newly identified coronavirus.
Recently Deepika Padukone took up the challenge and forwarded it to Roger Federer, Virat Kohli and Christiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile COVID-19 has globally shaken the world by spreading across approximately 140 countries around the globe. The novel coronavirus has infected around 1,81,500 people globally and killed over 7,100 people worldwide. With this noble initiative taken by WHO, which is now further taken up by celebrity faces like Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma, it will surely contribute to the cause.
