Deepika Padukone received the Crystal Award on the first evening of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020, in Davos and DeePee looked statuesque at the do as she spoke about her battle with depression and anxiety.
DeePee sashayed in wearing a blue Alex Perry gown, which had cape style sleeves. The fitted gown hugged her at all the right places and DeePee had all eyes on her as she graced the award function.
After receiving the award, DeePee spoke about her fight with clinical depression and anxiety and also her Live Laugh Love Foundation. Deepika said, “Mental illness has presented us all with a very tough challenge but my love-hate relationship with the illness has taught me so much. To be patient for one, that you are not alone but importantly that there is hope. For in the words of Martin Luther King ‘Everything that is done in this world is done by hope’.”
Deepika, who was last seen in Chhapaak as an acid-attack survivor, will be next seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83.
