Deepika Padukone was recently in London to shoot for Kabir Khan’s ’83, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role however, she jetted off to New York, for a day, to attend the Youth Anxiety Center dinner. At the event, the Bollywood diva brushed shoulders with international sensation Kendall Jenner.

Deepika Padukone has been very vocal about her battle with depression and champions the cause of mental illness and thus, the event was very close to her heart. Deepika looked sharp in her Alberta Ferretti suit and she had teamed it with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

The actress met super model Kendall Jenner at the event and also posed with the Victoria’s Secret angel. As DeePee shared a picture with Kendall, we were amazed to see how striking similar they looked in the image. Along with the still, Deepika wrote, “I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful soul… I wish you all the joy in the world and peace of mind… always! @kendalljenner.”

Deepika had gone to NYC just for the event and is expected to return to London to resume the shoot of ’83. Deepika is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the movie. Her husband Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil Dev in teh sports drama.

Deepika will be next seen in Chhapaak, in which she is playing the role of an acid attack survivor. The film is inspired by the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and is being produced by Padukone. Meghna Gulzar is directing the film, which will release on January 10, 2020.
