Dashavatar Crosses 20 Crore Mark:
Dilip Prabhavalkar’s Dashavatar has emerged as a notable success at the Marathi box office, crossing the ₹20 crore nett mark. The film, a family revenge drama & thriller, has been steadily performing since its release and is now on track for a potential ₹25 crore total.
Dashavatar collected ₹8 crore nett in its first week, followed by ₹8.5 crore in the second week. The third week saw a big drop and brought in ₹3.25 crore, and in the fourth week, approximately ₹1.25 crore nett was added over three days. These consistent numbers reflect the film’s word-of-mouth and audience appeal.
This makes Dashavatar the first Marathi hit of 2025 to cross the ₹20 crore milestone. It is also the first Marathi film to achieve this feat since Navra Maza Navsacha 2 in September 2024, almost exactly a year later.
In the post-pandemic era, at least one Marathi film each year has crossed the ₹20 crore mark, highlighting the industry’s stability. In 2022, films like Ved, Dharmaveer, and Pawankhind crossed the mark, followed by Baipan Bhari Deva in 2023, and Navra Maza Navsacha 2 in 2024.
With its steady collections, Dashavatar has firmly established itself as a hit, bringing recognition to both its cast and crew. If the momentum continues, the film could end its theatrical run around ₹25 crore nett, reinforcing the trend of successful Marathi cinema thriving in the post-pandemic market.
