Zaira Wasim Gets Married:
Bollywood’s former child-actor Zaira Wasim has tied the knot. The actress, known for earning acclaim in films like Dangal and Secret Superstar, shared two intimate photographs on her Instagram account, captioned simply: “Qubool hai x3." See it below:
In the pictures, she is seen signing her nikah contract, and standing beside her husband — but she chose not to reveal his face or name. We, at Movie Talkies, wish her a happy married life.
Zaira was born in Srinagar in 2000 and entered Bollywood as a teenager. She made her debut in Dangal (2016), playing the young Geeta Phogat, a role that won her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. She followed it up with Secret Superstar (2017), where she played a young singer with hopes and dreams. That film gave her critical recognition and a growing fan base. Both films did a combined business of around 3000 crore at the worldwide box office. Her last film appearance was in The Sky Is Pink (2019).
In June 2019, at just 18 years old, Zaira publicly announced her decision to quit acting, saying the film industry conflicted with her religious faith. She wrote that while the profession brought love and appreciation, it also led her away from her imaan (faith). This move sparked discussion across the industry and public media. Since then, she has kept a low public profile, sharing little about her personal life until now.

With this wedding announcement, Zaira appears to be embracing a more personal and private life, away from the glare of show business. While she may no longer act in films, her earlier work continues to be celebrated by many. Fans and well-wishers have flooded her social media posts with congratulations and support.
