Director Manish Jha's Arshad Warsi-Boman Irani starrer The Legend Of Michael Mishra hits the theaters today and the producers of the movie have removed a controversial dialogue from the film, which has caused protests in Punjab.

One of the film's dialogues mentions Saint Valmiki's name and many activists of the Balmiki Samaj staged protests against the film at several places in Punjab, for hurting their sentiments and to respect their sentiments, the makers have now knocked off the dialogue from the movie.

The producer of the film Kishor Arora opines ,''We have a valid censor certification and voluntarily removed the objectionable matter  as we do not wish to hurt anyone's sentiments. It's very sad that in spite of all this we are facing difficulties in exhibiting the film. Where do we go seek redressal?''

The Punjab government, on Thursday, announced a ban on the film for two months ‘keeping in view the prevailing strong resentment among the Valmiki community about some objectionable references to Maharishi Valmiki'.
