Comedian Jaspal Bhatti, famous for the television satire Flop Show, lost his life in a road accident while on his way from Bathidna to Jalandhar to promote his upcoming film Power Cut in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
Sources claim that the accident took place at around 1 am when the car Bhatti was travelling in, rammed into a tree on the side of the road. Jaspal's son Jasraj Bhatti and actress Surilie Gautam, who were also in the car with Bhatti, are said to be in a critical condition.
Born on March 3, 1955 at Amritsar, Bhatti graduated from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh as an electrical engineer before he entered the world of entertainment.
