Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer is four months away from its release, but fans are excited already. The latest update from the film is that Oppenheimer's runtime will be about 3 hours long, making it the longest film in Christopher Nolan's filmography.
Nolan's longest feature to date was Interstellar, with a runtime of 169 minutes. Oppenheimer will be at least 11 minutes longer than that. The Dark Knight Rises (165 minutes) was just 4 minutes shorter than that, while The Dark Knight was 152 minutes long. Well, the runtime doesn't matter since the master storyteller knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Oppenheimer is a biographical drama based on J. Robert Oppenheimer's life, who is known as the "father of the atomic bomb." The film stars Cillian Murphy in the lead role, alongside Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Florence Pugh, Benny Safdie, Michael Angarano, Josh Hartnett, and Kenneth Branagh.
