'Chitrangda Brings That Woman Who Has Her Own Desires' - Sudhir Mishra

Yet again, it is none other than Chitrangda Singh who is the leading lady in Sudhir Mishra's Inkaar. While the film is their third director-actress association till date, for many out there is a perception built that they are inseparable, well professionally at the least. Quite used to this question being popped to him film after film, Sudhir doesn't hesitate one bit when asked if this association is there for the keeps.

 

"I love the nuance that Chitrandga brings to her parts and the fearlessness that she demonstrates in enacting them", says Sudhir who has directed her in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Yeh Saali Zindagi, "She  brings that side of a woman to the fore who has her own desires. She tells you that if you hurt her, she would hurt you back. That's what a modern woman stands for; someone who comes with own sensibilities and desires. She does all of this very well and with extreme grace."

 

This is the reason why even though he is extremely impressed with her as an actress, he has an answer ready for a question that come his way w.r.t. casting her film after film.

 

"Yes, people do ask me that why I think of her before beginning my cast. Well, reason is that she doesn't ask stupid questions. Of course we disagree on many ways but then that is one of the exciting things about making a film. Let's discuss, deliberate and challenge each other but without disrespecting someone's intelligence", says Sudhir.
