Chhaava, led by Vicky Kaushal and directed by Laxman Utekar, has had a phenomenal run for six weeks and is still going strong. With Salman Khan's Sikandar coming on Eid, Chhaava will lose many screens and will definitely slow down since the film has been watched by almost 3 crore audiences in the Hindi belt. The film opened with Rs. 29 crore nett and is expected to close its domestic total at around Rs. 550-560 crore nett, which indicates the kind of incredible trending it has seen over these six weeks.

Chhaava broke every possible weekend record except the opening weekend and has set new benchmarks for Bollywood movies despite being a mid-budget film. From the upcoming slot, no film seems to be challenging these numbers except for War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. If even that spy-universe flick fails to surpass it, then Chhaava shall emerge as the biggest hit as well as the highest grosser of 2025. Maddock will then have back-to-back highest grossers of the year. Can it happen? The chances are high at this moment, but we must also consider the buzz surrounding War 2 and the kind of mass hysteria it's going to create.

War 2 will definitely open bigger than Chhaava, given that Hrithik is a bigger superstar than Vicky, and Jr. NTR's addition makes it even more interesting. The potential for War 2 is much larger, and if it performs up to the mark, then even Rs. 700-800 crore nett is possible. But can it have a long run for 5-6 weeks?
