Sources have revealed that Hriday Shetty's noir-comedy Chaalis Chauraasi is all set to be released across centres on January 12, 2012. The film, which boasts of a stellar star cast comprising Naseeruddin Shah, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Ravi Kissen, explores the adventures of four cops in a police patrol van as they get embroiled in a night of danger, death and comical situations.
The film's title Chaalis Chaurasi (4084) refers to the registration number of the police mobile van, which plays a main part in the story of the film and Shetty reportedly requested the police department to let the team use a real police van to add authenticity to the scenes involving the van.
An excited Hriday Shetty, the director of the film said, "Everything has gone according to the plan. And now we have locked the date as well. I hope everyone likes what we have done with Chaalis Chauraasi. January 12th, 2012 is a date to remember."
