Salman Khan reacts to Battle of Galwan Trolls:
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally responded to online trolling over his appearance in the teaser of his much-anticipated war drama Battle of Galwan, dismissing critics with characteristic humour and confidence. The film, which dramatizes the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces, has generated massive buzz ever since its teaser dropped late last year.
Shortly after the first look released on Salman’s birthday, some social media users mocked a particular frame in which the actor, dressed as an army colonel, stands between advancing troops with a wooden log in hand and a brief, intense expression on his face. A section of viewers labelled his gaze “romantic” rather than suitably fierce for a war narrative — a reaction that quickly became fodder for memes and criticism online.

Addressing the backlash during an appearance at a sports event in Surat, Salman took the trolling in stride. When asked to recreate the still in question, he obliged and explained that his expression was not meant to convey romance, but rather the composed determination of a military leader motivating his soldiers under duress. “Ye Colonel ka look hai, romantic nahi,” he said, underlining that his portrayal was rooted in leadership rather than stylised emotion.

Salman also made light of the chatter, suggesting such reactions are part of the digital age and won’t affect his approach or the film’s promotion. Director by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is slated to hit theatres on April 17, 2026.
