Hollywood star Brad Pitt has filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, actress Angelina Jolie, over the sale of their French winery, Château Miraval. According to reports, The F1 Movie star is demanding around $35 million in damages, claiming Jolie sold her share of the estate without his consent, violating their prior agreement.

The former couple bought Château Miraval in 2008 and later turned it into a successful wine business. Pitt alleges that they had an understanding not to sell their stakes without each other’s approval. However, in 2021, Jolie sold her 50% share to a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler. Pitt’s lawsuit argues that the sale was done behind his back and has caused financial and reputational harm to the winery.

According to People Magazine, New court documents submitted by Pitt’s legal team include emails and internal communications suggesting that Jolie’s lawyers were aware of the potential conflict. Jolie’s side, however, maintains that there was no binding contract restricting her from selling her stake and has accused Pitt of trying to control her financially.

The case has now become a high-profile legal battle, with both sides presenting evidence and witness statements. The next hearing is reportedly set for December 17, 2025.
