Salman Khan was present at the trailer event for Angry Young Man, which is based on the success story of blockbuster writing duo Salim-Javed (Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar).
The anchor mentioned the "brat" image of Salim-Javed, which left Salman Khan a bit angry. The actor defended them and slammed the people who created that image. Watch the video below.
Salman Khan said, "They have refused a lot of producers and actors. That they were bratty comes from there. People thought that inka dimaag kharaab ho gaya hai. Dimaag inka chal raha tha, aur achcha hi chal raha tha. That’s why they kept delivering hits after hits."
He continued, "And those they couldn’t work with because of date issues, not liking the plot, the director, or their faces—they are the ones who dubbed them arrogant, but they weren’t. Those who made these allegations are the ones jinka dimaag kharaab tha."
Salim Khan shared his views about this project, “I started my career in front of the camera but realized that my true strength lay in telling stories. That’s when I decided to focus on what came naturally to me – writing. I then met Javed who was equally passionate about writing, and together we did some fantastic work together, which I am very proud of. We had an excellent run and achieved great success, and also challenged industry norms along the way. It feels wonderful that our journey is being documented for future generations, and I hope they will be inspired to do their best and not be confined by society’s prescribed roles. I’m excited for audiences across the world to see our journey unfold on Prime Video.”
