Northeast Delhi continues to bleed and witness intense violence, even a day after violence broke out again, over the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Reportedly the protestors threw stones at each other, set vehicles and shops on fire. Seven people, including a cop, were killed and nearly 100 were injured on Monday. Over 48 police personnel were injured and have been hospitalised. A head constable, Ratan Lal, was among the people killed, several paramilitary and Delhi Police personnel were also injured in this heated incident. A religious place has also been set ablaze at Chandu Nagar in Northeast Delhi, post these incidents, section 144 of the CrPC was imposed in that area, which prohibits assembly of four or more people, in areas affected by violence. The violent protest took place when the US President Donald Trump's visited to India, thus many said, that the blood wrenching protest was staged by a certain section of people to show India in a bad light.
Bollywood Celebrities also took to Twitter to react upon the same incidence and condemned the same.
