Bipasha Basu created headlines when her first Hollywood project Singularity was announced. Directed by Roland Joffe, the film has undergone a title change and has been renamed as The Lovers. The movie was shown at the European Science Fiction Film Festival in 2013 and is now ready for a limited release this year. The film underwent several delays, recasting and re-shooting; and will now go straight to a DVD release.

A DVD release is usually done for films that are not deemed commercially viable. The film has already been ripped apart by critics with one review stating that the film has forgettable characters and has been labelled as 'nonsense.' Ouch. We wonder what Bips has to say about this now. Another Bollywood actress who will be seen in a Hollywood film is Nargis Fakhri- she will be seen in the action comedy called Spy. Hopefully her film doesn't suffer a similar end.
