Post the success of various film franchises like Raaz, Golmaal series, Dhoom and Dabangg to name  a few, now producer Bhushan Kumar too has decided to turn Bhootnath, Aashiqui and the yet to be released Creature into franchise.

Kumar feels that currently franchises are a hit among the audiences and therefore  he wants to turn these films into brands.

The filmmaker has already started working on Bhootnath's sequel. The original featured Amitabh Bachchan as a friendly ghost and in the second installment too, he'll reprise his character. Reportedly, the movie will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who co-directed Chillar Party and Boman Irani too will be a part of it. The film will go on floors this October and is slated to release in April 2014.

Aashiqui's sequel Aashiqui 2 was a super-hit at the box-office and Kumar has revealed that though they want to make Aashiqui 3, it will be made after a gap of two or three years.

Bipasha Basu starrer Creature is yet to be released and though the film has to prove itself at the box-office, Bhushan believes that the concept of the film is very interesting and can be taken ahead.
