Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Bharat released on Eid and it is earning big moolah at the box-office. The film is receiving immense love from the audiences and it has already crossed the 150 crore mark in the domestic market.
The movie, which released on June 5, earned Rs. 42.30 crore on Wednesday, Rs. 31 crore on Thursday, Rs. 22.20 crore on Friday, rs. 26.70 crore on Saturday and Rs. 27.90 crore on Sunday. The total now stands at Rs. 150.10 crore. Bharat, which released in 4300 screens, across the country has become Salman’s 14th film to enter the prestigious 100 crore club.
Though the film is steady at the box-office, the India-Australia World Cup match hampered the business on Sunday. Biz also got affected on the opening day due to the India-South Africa match. It remains to be seen how the period drama would perform during the weekdays.
Bharat chronicles the journey of its protagonist and India from 1947 to 2010. The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover, Tabu and Nora Fatehi. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the period drama is an adaptation of Korean movie An Ode To My Father.
