Ban on Pakistani Artist after Operation Sindoor:
The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has issued a firm statement enforcing a complete ban on Pakistani artists, filmmakers, and financiers working in the Indian cinema industry. This statement came immediately after Pakistani actors Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Mawra Hocane, who have worked in Bollywood, criticized the Indian Army's Operation Sindoor.

All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) Strongly Condemns Anti-India Statements by Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan
Mumbai, India – The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly condemns the anti-India statements made by Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and actor Fawad Khan, who have openly criticized India and questioned the nation’s actions in defense of its sovereignty. Mahira Khan labeled India’s military response as a “Seriously Cowardly” act, while Fawad Khan, instead of condemning terrorism, focused on criticizing India’s stance and supporting divisive narratives.
These statements are not just disrespectful to our nation but also an insult to the countless innocent lives lost due to terrorism and the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country. AICWA reaffirms its strict and complete ban on Pakistani artists, filmmakers, and financiers working in India. No Indian artist will collaborate with any Pakistani talent, nor will any global platform be shared with them.
Stop Supporting Pakistani Artists – A Call to Indian Artists
While Pakistani artists openly chant “Pakistan Zindabad” and stand firmly with their country, it is time for the Indian film industry to understand that blindly supporting these artists under the pretext of “art” is a betrayal of national pride. Some individuals in our industry continue to show sympathy and support for Pakistani artists, ignoring the sentiments of our nation.
AICWA urges these individuals to stop supporting those who openly disrespect India. This is not just about art—it is about standing with your country during critical moments. Our nation must come first.
Music Companies and Artists Must Take Responsibility
It is unfortunate that several Indian music companies continue to promote Pakistani artists, giving them frequent work and exposure. Many Indian singers also share stages with these artists globally, ignoring the sentiments of the nation. AICWA calls upon these companies and individuals to stop supporting Pakistani talent and to stand with the nation.
Abir Gulal Movie – A Shameful Example
AICWA strongly condemns the filmmakers, producers, and artists of the film “Abir Gulal” for casting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan despite the Pulwama attack, where several Indian soldiers were martyred. What message do such filmmakers want to convey? They even came to India to release this film, showing complete disregard for the nation’s sentiments. This is a disgrace to the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers.
A Call to the Indian Film Industry
AICWA urges all stakeholders in the Indian film industry, including Bollywood and regional industries, to respect this ban and prioritize national interest over any so-called “artistic collaborations.” Indian artists and filmmakers must decide whether they will stand with their nation or continue to engage with those who openly oppose it.
Those who insult our nation under the pretext of freedom of speech should not be given the privilege of working in our industry. AICWA stands firmly with the nation, upholding the principle of “Nation First.”
