Real and reel life partners, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, are on a promotional tour for their upcoming film, Brahmastra. The couple were spotted leaving for Ujjain yesterday in Mumbai. However, both of them had to drop the plan due to prevention by Bajrang Dal members outside the temple.
Bajrang Dal activists protested outside the temple, which led Ranbir and Alia to skip the temple visit. The protestants told the media that they would not allow Ranbir Kapoor to go inside the temple due to his previous comments on beef-eating. For security reasons, both had to stay at the magistrate's house last night. For the same reason, Boycott Brahmastra has been trending on Twitter for a long time.
In the meantime, Ayan Mukerji went to the temple and sought the blessings of Lord Mahakaleshwar for the success of his film, Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy with Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role. Brahmastra is set for release this week on approximately 8000 screens worldwide.
