Bad Newz Brings Good News for Bollywood; Biggest Opening for a Rom-Com This Year

Bad Newz, the biggest romantic comedy caper of the year, was released all over yesterday. Turning things into Good News, the film took a solid start at the box office on Friday.

Bad Newz has scored the biggest opening for a rom-com this year, with 8.62 crore nett on Friday. The romantic comic caper has received thumbs up from the audiences and will show a good jump in numbers on Saturday and Sunday.

Bad Newz brings Good News for Bollywood and the box office. The film has finally brought those footfalls back to cinemas for an original Hindi-language film after months. It also marks the biggest opening day for a Vicky Kaushal starrer.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. Presented by Amazon Prime in association with Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective, a Leo Media Collective production, the film will be released in cinemas on July 19, 2024.
