Baaghi 4 Opening Day Box office:

Tiger Shroff’s action franchise Baaghi has hit a rough patch with its latest installment, Baaghi 4, which opened much below expectations. The film, directed by A. Harsha, collected around ₹11 crore nett on day one, making it the lowest opener in the entire series despite a wide release and higher average ticket prices (ATP). The film was also boosted by the offers on day one and still scored an underwhelming opening.

For comparison, Baaghi (2016) with Shraddha Kapoor had debuted at ₹11.93 crore, Baaghi 2 (2018) with Disha Patani created box office history with a massive ₹25 crore opening, while Baaghi 3 (2020) brought in ₹17.34 crore before the pandemic lockdown disrupted its run. In contrast, Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, and former Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu, has started on the weakest note in the franchise’s history.

One of the biggest factors affecting the film’s opening has been the stiff competition from The Conjuring: Last Rites, which recorded higher collections in India on the same day. Adding to the concern, industry trackers note that Baaghi 4 registered the lowest footfalls among all the Baaghi films, a worrying sign for an action-heavy mass entertainer.

Marketed as a fresh chapter with high-octane stunts, powerful villains, and an emotional love angle featuring Tiger, Sanjay and Harnaaz, the film was expected to draw in large crowds. However, the lukewarm start suggests that the franchise may have lost some of its earlier pull.

The weekend trend will now be crucial in deciding if Baaghi 4 can recover momentum or remain the weakest outing in Tiger Shroff’s much-talked-about franchise. The second day and third day totals matter a lot now because the drop on Monday will definitely hit the film badly.
