Ayushmann Khurrana And Vicky Kaushal won their first National Award yesterday, at the The 66th National Film Awards, for their commendable performances in Andhadhun and Uri: The Surgical Strike respectively.

Ayushmann Khurrana And Vicky Kaushal has surely impressed all, with their powerful performances in two of the most talked about and celebrated films of recent times, Andhadhun and Uri: The Surgical Strike respectively.

Speaking about winning a National Award, Ayushmann in a recent press statement said,

 "It’s truly humbling and hugely gratifying to win the coveted National Awards. As an artist, I have always tried to back disruptive content that stands out for its quality content. Today’s honour is a validation of my hard work, my belief system, my journey in movies and my reason to be an actor in the first place. Over and above my personal win, I’m thrilled that both the films that I have done - AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho have won at the prestigious National Awards. It again validates that people of our country want to see cinema that entertains, that they can cherish, discuss and endorse."

Andhadhun directed by Sriram Raghavan, was a crime thriller, that kept the audience rooted to their seats for the entire running time.

Whereas, Uri: The Surgical Strike directed by Aditya Dhar, was based on the surgical strike, that was carried out by the Indian Army on seven terrorist launchpads across the Line of Control on September 29, 2016, in accord to a terrorist attack on an army camp at Uri.
