Ayesha Takia Ashamed, Embarrassed Of Father-In-Law Abu Azmi's Statement On Rapes

Former Bollywood actress Ayesha Takia's father-in-law and Samajwadi Party leader, Abu Azmi recently gave a statement that women who have sex outside marriage should be hanged and post that, the actress took to Twitter to slam the veteran politician for his remarks.

Taking to the micro-blogging site, Ayesha tweeted, "if wot im reading about my father in laws statements r true then me and Farhan are deeply embarrassed n ashamed...We surely do nottt share this mindset...its disrespectful to women.if these statements r true then its sad."

Many people appreciated her for taking a stand and she thanked them on Twitter, writing, "Thank u all 4 ur support as always. I really really appreciate all ur words n understanding. Thank u."

Her husband and Azmi's son, Farhan Azmi too tweeted, "Guys as far as I am concerned I have made myself more than clear.hang a rapist a 100 times & give me the duty to do so.I will do it for free."

Abu Azmi, along with Mulayam Singh, have been receiving a lot of flak from all quarters of the society over their statements on rapes.
