Author Chetan Bhagat Turns Producer For His Novel Half Girlfriend's Film Adaptation

Author Chetan Bhagat has the distinction one of the only authors in the country who has had all his novels converted into a movies. Chetan has been steadily spreading his roots in Bollywood. He made his screenplay writing debut with the highly successful Kick starring Salman Khan and Nargis Fakhri.

We had recently reported that Mohit Suri will be directing the film version of his latest novel Half Girlfriend. Now, we hear Bhagat will turn co-producer for the film along with Mohit Suri. Chetan's decision makes sense as a producer can exert more creative control over the film-making process. He says that he wants to be completely involved in every aspect, right from pre-production to marketing. The film will be set in Delhi, Bihar and New York.
